The Impact of Stroke on Identity, Relationships and Work

WORKSHOP

Wednesday 27th October
12:30pm – 1:30pm

Stroke can have a huge impact on how people think and feel. This in turn can cause difficulties in the relationship they have with themselves and others. Adjusting to changes in one’s identity can be challenging for the person in all aspects of life including work. Difficulty in accepting these changes can lead to emotional problems such as anxiety, depression and loneliness.

This interactive talk by Clinical Psychologist Catherine Doogan aims to identify these challenges and think together about different ways to support the process of change and promote acceptance.
