About UCL World Stroke Day Forum

UCL World Stroke Day Forum has taken place every year since 2018. Usually, the forum is a one-day event.

  • Over 200 people attend.
  • There are interactive talks, workshops and a relaxed expo area.
  • Researchers, clinicians, stroke survivors and charities can meet and talk about stroke.

In 2020, we were pleased to host the Forum online

Over the week we had over 30 different events including live Q&As and workshops with our brilliant researchers and charity partners, and ‘meet and greets’, where attendees could informally chat to our contributors. There are also pre-recorded talks to hear the latest about stroke research and rehabilitation.

In 2021, the Forum will continue as a series of digital events over Monday 25th – Friday 29th October.

Aims

  1. Empower Stroke Survivors to contribute to and influence the future of stroke research and rehabilitation at UCL.
  2. Provide researchers and clinicians with an opportunity to engage openly with stroke survivors and carers about their research and the current rehabilitation landscape within the NHS.
