WCHN Public Engagement Pilot Fund – Dr Michael Moutousiss

This project aims to start a process which will help inform and adapt his translational neuroscience research so that it is more relatable to real life and more useful for potential beneficiaries.

The funding will support the creation of an ‘expert by mental health experience’ steering group. The group will consist of key stakeholders such as people with lived experience as carers or past users of psychological therapies, as well as Mental Health Trust User research advisors. Through a series of meetings, the group will help improve the protocol for the research study ‘Mechanisms behind choosing to disengage from psychological therapy’.
